Dane Johnson
President
Mr. Johnson is the President and co-founder for Praxis Health Group. For the past 4 years at Praxis he has worked with a very diversified group of clients from large hospital groups and ambulatory surgery centers to small physician practices in meeting their particular backoffice/technological needs. With a push towards EMR's and being technologically nimble in the healthcare world, his 11+ years experience in the healthcare industry from a Director/CIO position at a leading ASC Development/Management company and now as President of Praxis Health Group gives him a unique insight to technology and how it can be used in today's unique global IT environment from a revenue cycle perspective. Mr. Johnson has dealt with many types of healthcare software solutions (some good, some unique, and some just plain bad) and can bring that diverse experience to our Praxis clients. Mr. Johnson received his BBA from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX back in 1989 and his teaching certification in the state of Texas in 1996. He also has received numerous IT certifications over the course of his career.
Donna Russell
Senior Director of Operations
Donna Russell has been the Senior Director of Operations at Praxis Health Group for the past 4 years. Before joining Praxis Health Group, Ms. Russell was the Director of Hospital Centralized Billing for a leading ambulatory surgical center and surgical hospital company in Oklahoma City, OK. She also held the position of Director of Physician Billing Services and served as a Project Manager for Physician Services before being promoted to the Directorship of the Hospital CBO. Ms. Russell has spent the past 26 years in the customer service field with collections and management services as her top priorities, with the past 12 years directing medical billing, collection, coding, and compliance areas of several large billing operations in Oklahoma and Louisiana for multi-specialty physician groups, as well as central billing offices dedicated to servicing hospitals and ASC’s.
Gail Benjamin
Manger Hospital Billing
Gail Benjamin has been in the medical field for over 17 years with experience in both hospital and physician billing. Mrs. Benjamin got her start with a leading billing company specializing in Oncology and was later promoted to Billing Manager for a company owned cancer center in Midwest City. She also managed the revenue cycle processes for other physician specialties to include Pediatrics, Orthopedics, OBGYN, General Surgery and Family Practice focusing on Accounts Receivable. Her background includes government and non-government insurance credentialing for physicians as well as facilities. For the last 5 years, Mrs. Benjamin has been the Central Billing Office Manager for several critical access hospitals in Oklahoma and Texas. The last 6 months she has been a co-worker for Mercy Health Systems as Billing Manager for a critical access hospital recently purchased by Mercy. As a result of this relationship MHS awarded an interim billing agreement with Praxis Health Group for billing and collections services. Gail is very excited to be a part of the Praxis Health Group team to help critical access hospitals to better serve the communities in which they reside.
Amanda Stephens-Rubin
Asst. Manger Hospital Billing
Amanda Stephens-Rubin has been in the medical field for over 16 years with experience in hospital, physician, home health and hospice billing. Starting her career in home health, Mrs. Stephens-Rubin had the opportunity to be a part of creating a home health company. She spent the first year seeing patients as a CHHA and performing scheduling and billing. After two years they had grown to 14 offices throughout the state of Oklahoma and she was promoted to the Financial Administrator, which included the responsibility of all billing for home health and hospice. For the last 10 years, Mrs. Stephens-Rubin has been the Central Billing Office Manager assistant for several critical access hospitals, home health and hospice in Oklahoma and Texas. The last 6 months she has been a co-worker for Mercy Health Systems for a critical access hospital recently purchased by Mercy and is extremely excited to be a part of the Praxis Health Group team to help critical access hospitals better serve their communities.
